The Perfect Outdoor Field Trip

Located in gorgeous New Orleans City Park and adjacent to Couturie Arboretum, LOOP NOLA is an ideal outdoor field trip destination. Our activities don’t require any previous experience: knowledgeable staff members provide participants with everything they need to have a fun, safe time in City Park. Options include:

Challenge Course
- Low ropes: Grades 4+
- High ropes: Grades 6+
Canoeing & Kayaking
- With extra safety precautions: Grades 2+
- Traditional guided paddles: Grades 6+
Survival skills
- Navigation, fire-building, shelter building, and more: Grades 4+
Fishing
- From shore, catch-and-release: Grades 6+
Adventure Sprouts:
- Nature based activities designed to help young people feel more comfortable in the outdoors while learning something new about the local environment: Grades PreK - 2nd
Wild in the Wetlands
- Nature based activities designed to help young people feel more comfortable in the outdoors while learning something new about the local environment: Grades 3+
Wetlands Ecology:
- Nature based lessons with specific curriculum plans geared toward Louisiana State Science Standards: Grades 3+
