We believe in the power of the outdoors.
On average, American children spend 90% of their time indoors looking at some type of electronic screen. They rarely interact with the Outdoorsman's Paradise right outside their windows here in Louisiana and the adventures it offers. Outdoor activities decrease stress, relieve attention fatigue and increase creativity, but there are few outdoor opportunities offered to children and youth in the Greater New Orleans area.
LOOP NOLA was created to change that. By providing positive, life-changing outdoor adventures to children and youth regardless of their family income, physical limitations, or experience, LOOP NOLA is making the outdoors safe, fun and meaningful for thousands of local students. From learning to canoe to playing teambuilding games in local parks, we develop students’ social and emotional skills through challenges and nurture a lasting relationship with the outdoors. Come join us on this adventure and make the outdoors possible for deserving urban children!
