First Year in the Books
Our first full school year as a nonprofit is complete! From hiking in City Park to overnight camping in Bogue Chitto State Park, our programs provided fun, meaningful, and positive outdoor experiences. It was an exciting and full year, with all our program goals being exceeded and a new program was created to make the outdoors more accessible to everyone.

New Program: Girl Powered Outdoor Workshops
We created an outdoor adventure program that consists of weekend workshops called Girl Powered Outdoor Workshops sponsored by Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans, designed specifically to inspire and empower elementary and middle school girls. The workshops were led by female staff and volunteers with the girls hiking, canoeing, identifying wildlife, and overcoming ropes course challenges. The girls also developed their confidence as leaders, learned the importance of building other girls up, and gained positive, female mentors. We hope to continue these workshops for years to come to ensure girls feel like they not belong outdoors, but that they feel empowered to become the next generation of outdoor leaders.
We could only make this happen thanks to our generous supporters and partners!
